Position Summary:

The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for developing an email strategy and coordinating email marketing campaigns for Zappos.com. He/she will oversee all strategic and tactical marketing efforts in order to optimize profitability by driving visitors to register, users to make purchases, and customers to make incremental purchases.

  • Campaign Management

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years work experience in email marketing, ideally B2C experience.

  • Fluency in at least one of the following programming languages (Perl, Java, C++, C#, Python, PHP)
  • A BS in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise systems
  • Experience with inventory management systems, including receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping of products
  • Experience working on web-based, database driven systems
  • Obsession with keeping up with development practices and methodologies
  • Experience working with and mentoring junior developers
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Ability to maintain good relationships and follow up with non-technical management and third-party partners
  • Experience with large-scale ERP or ecommerce systems
  • Experience with multiple programming languages
  • Experience with high-volume transactional systems
  • Experience with the Linux operating system
